| Supporting a Heart-Worthy Cause | Campbell Soup Company is a proud national supporter of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, pledging a multi-year commitment of more than $1.8 million to the cause.
As part of its continued commitment to nourishing people’s lives everywhere, every day, Campbell also is helping to educate and motivate people to eat right, live better and support efforts to reduce the prevalence of heart disease. |
| Vote With Your Heart |
Campbell enlisted one of 2007’s hottest designers, Lisa Perry, to design three exclusive red dresses, one of which will be worn by singer Toni Braxton to kick off American Heart Month (February). The winning dress will be chosen by the public. December 20, 2007 through January 30, 2008, consumers can visit GoRedWithCampbells.com to vote for their favorite design. For each vote cast, Campbell will donate $1 to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement (up to $100,000). |
| A Celebrity Close to the Cause | R&B singer, songwriter and six-time Grammy Award-winner Toni Braxton is bringing her personal connection to heart disease to this campaign. Braxton was diagnosed with pericarditis, a form of heart disease, in her 30s. She has since become an advocate of living a heart-healthy lifestyle and is committed to encouraging women to take steps to protect their health. Braxton will wear the winning dress at the Woman’s Day Red Dress Awards to help raise awareness of this important cause. |
| The Designer & the Dresses |
Lisa Perry is known for her modern “pop-art” designs and bold colors. She is proud to donate her talent and time to support the Go Red For Women movement, encouraging women to make their health a priority. Perry’s connection to Campbell goes back several years. As an avid pop-art collector, Perry owns a 1960’s paper dress premium that featured the soup’s iconic label. Her three red dress designs were inspired by Campbell’s pop-art couture ties, while incorporating a chic feminine flair. |
